For a personal project that we have to present for the baccalaureate exam, we got interested in solar balloons for his economical and ecological aspect. First we studied the equilibrium of our balloon by answering the following question: what mass can a solar balloon lift? We carried out a theoretical study that we confronted with various experimental attempts. Secondly we decided to let the balloon fly away in order to compare the expected evolution in the atmosphere to the real trajectory.
